Limitations

The 3+ Level Cascade Fields app uses Atlassian Storage to store data for the custom fields created by its users. Due to this, the app has limitations regarding data volume. Most importantly, if you choose to store your field options in the Atlassian Cloud, there is a hard limit of 20,000 options per field.

Another factor that may affect your data is space capacity. Atlassian allocates 1.2GB of storage for the initial 100 users, with an additional 12MB allocated for every additional user.

For most cases, the limitations mentioned above should be acceptable for users. However, if you encounter a scenario where you need to add more than 20,000 options, or if you already have your data prepared elsewhere, you can opt to use a field with externally managed options.
